BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is on the front apex of the roof above the south porch.
The dial plate is set upon a stone block bearing the date 1756. It is supported from behind with a curved iron strut. The plate is surrounded by carved and scrolled stonework with volutes at the corners, and is slightly canted back on the right (east) side.
The Roman numerals are upright and run from 6am to 6pm with noon shown as a cross ( + ) and 4pm as IIII. No hour lines or divisions are visible.
The gnomon is a tapered iron rod with a single straight horizontal support.
