BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dorset

Probably made about 1930, but could be earlier or later. Embellished with a pictorial representation of a three-masted C19 Steamship. Declines a long way west. Upright numerals XII - IV - VIII. ’GMT’ between the XII and I. Long rod gnomon attached above and below outside the dial plate, which is set into the rough stone wall of an out-building.
