BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dorset

This dial was originally registered as SRN 3849, but after reconstruction it has been allocated a new number. Stereographic grid. EOT scale labelled ’The inequality of Natural Days’. Roman numerals 4am to 8pm divided to 30, 10, 5 and 1 mins. Signed ’W. Croft, Ilmi--ter’. Gnomon reconstructed, and bears signatures, location, date, lat & long (C Daniel delin, J Davis Fecit, 2002).
