BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Painswick House, Brize Norton

A cast bronze horizontal dial 200mm in diameter shows the hours IV - VIII and has an 8-point compass rose in the centre. The upper part of the gnomon is bent over. The dial stands on a baluster pedestal capped by a circular mounting stone with a circular gutter which forms a moat to the dial and a bird-bath.
