BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dunscar Woods, Bolton

This Millennium dial was created by local people in local materials in support of the Woodland Trust, within a new forestry planting in the area. It is to be found at the footpath entrance near Dunscar Fold. The Roman numerals on the cuboid carved chunks of kerbstone, and the wording on the massive flagstone datescale, were carved by Master Craftsman dry stone waller Peter Isherwood of nearby Edgworth.
