BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Weston Mews, Weston-under-Penyard

In the garden at the rear of the house is a bronze equatorial dial which makes a pretence of antiquity by carrying the inscription ’1658 D Smyth, London’ . On the baseplate there is a motto ’So Guides ye Time, So Wears ye Day, These Moments Measure Life Away. Anno Dom 1658’. There is an 8-point compass rose labelled N, NE, E etc. In fact the dial was made by Pearson Page around 1910 and was bought in 1932. The baluster pedestal was once part of London Bridge as verified by a receipt of 1931.
