BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Paul’s Church, Huddersfield

This large stone dial probably dates from 1848, when the church was built. It was moved and restored in 1875 under the instruction of a local weaver, Charles Brook. Motto above ’Yet a little while is the light with you’. Underneath, on a stone frame ’Pereunt et Imputantur’. Substantial (cast iron?) gnomon with flower shaped support.Numerals on scrolls (IX and IIII repeated across two ribbons) VI - noon - IIII - VI (noon not marked), divided to 30, 15b and 5 minutes.
