BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Surrey

The dial is a replica of an old dial (probably early 1900s) which was painted onto a 3mm steel sheet of the same dimensions (see photo b). The hour lines were corrected on the new dial but all other features were retained. Upright numerals VII - XII - IIII - VI, with hour lines to a square around the gnomon root, and short half hour marks. The Arts and Crafts gnomon was reused after cleaning and correction.
