BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Rhinefield House Hotel (3), Brockenhurst

The dial is on an archway, side entrance, right hand side of hotel front (north elevation), on reverse south face, approx 3000 up. It is presented as a shield with bearings which contain the motto ’SOL ME - VOS UMBRA’. Aligned Roman numerals 6am to 4pm, with Xs carved with a cross bar. Full hour lines, no divisions.
