BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Triangular Lodge (2), Rushton

The Lodge has three separate dials (see also SRN 3059 and 7075), one on each face of the building; this one faces about SE. There are some visible hour lines and indications of incised borders. The sheet metal ’dog-leg’ gnomon has an upper edge perpendicular to the dial plate, with a fine patterned shape. The motto above reads ’RESPICITE’. The rest of the text is above the N and the SW dials, ’NON MIHI’, ’SOLI LABORAVI’ (Mark ye, not for myself alone have I toiled’. Ref Gatty 1900 motto 1092, which has a very full entry.
