BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
An octagonal horizontal dial marked with IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, from inside, divided to 30 & 5 minutes with the motto: ’Shadows raound about my face / The sunny hours of day will trace’. The substantial bar gnomon has an ’S’ supportand is fixed 180 degrees out of position. There is a circular section (granite?) pedestal.
