BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

Little Strickland Hill is one mile past the church, on the right. The dial was dug from the garden, and was at first thought to be genuine, but a number of details point to it being a 20th century item. Numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, from inside, with noon gap, and divided to quarters. Gnomon missing.
