BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Mirehouse, Crosthwaite

Mirehouse is on the east side of Bassenthwaite Lake; the dial is central in the Bee Garden. Labelled 16-point compass rose at the south. On each side ’Brookbrae’ and ’London’. GMT numerals V - XII - IV - VII, from inside, divided to 30 and 5-minute intervals, with rings for GMT (outer) and BST (small, inner, VI - VIII). The gnomon is missing. Cylindrical plinth with square top and base plate.
