BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Kent

This is a g good churchyard horizontal dial. It has an eightpoint labelled compass rose and an anticlockwise EOT table. It carries a text from John, 12, 36 ’While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light’. At the south is the date 1905, and above it a monogram ’ESS’. The gnomon was restored by C St J Daniel in 2005.
