BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

Dial has EOT rings, and is inscribed ’The mean time at Summer Hill / 12 minutes and 15 seconds slower than at Greenwich’. Dial plate incorporates two graduated spirit level tubes, laid NS and EW, and three levelling screws. Extensive email correspondence attached as Report R9745b.
