BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Peterborough Cathedral (3), Peterborough

The dial is painted on the wall on the south side of the Cathedral with black lines and numerals on a white ground. There is a half disc golden sun at gnomon root. Whole hours only are shown with vertical but aligned Roman numerals from 7am to 5pm with XII for noon and IIII for 4pm. There are no subdivisions. The origin of the thin rod gnomon is on the top border of the dial face. The gnomon has no supporter. This is one of three dials on the walls of the Cathedral.
