BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Robert Horton Antiques, Hertford

Wooden vertical sundial. All markings carved in relief. Date ’MDCCLXX’, but actual date of 1770 unlikely. At the top, ’TEMPUS FUGIT’. Vertical aligned numerals VI - XII - IIII - V, with half and quarter hour divisions internally, and 5-minute divisions in the outer border. Long bar gnomon with straigh support to its tip. The dial is painted all over with black gloss paint, and is mounted on the west facing wall of the shop at first floor level.
