BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

A substantial slate dial with ovolo moulding around the edge. 8-point compass rose, but only ’N’ marked. Sans-serif numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from outside, with noon gap. Full length hour lines with no divisions. Mounted on an ’engaged’ Corintian capital, originally part of the entrance doorway to nearby Felsham Castle, which was demolished in 1794. The horizontal surface at the top front of the capital is engraved ’HORAS HAVD NVMERO NISI SERENAS’.
