BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Nicholas’ Church (1), Tadmarton

Rectangular vertical south-facing dial on the south-east corner of the nave. The dial is just above a buttress. The wall declines 15 degrees west of south but the dialplate is canted to make it face due south. Although basically rectangular, the top of the dialplate is elaborately scrolled. Unusually for a vertical dial, all the Roman numerals are aligned with the hour lines and read from outside the dial so some are very distorted. They use XII at noon and IV at 4pm. Inside the rectangular chapter ring there are short quarter hour marks, longer half hours and full length hour lines. The simple strip gnomon is probably of iron, painted white. It has a single straight supporter. See also dial SRN 7003 in the churchyard.
