BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Tyntesfield House [NT] (1), Wraxall

The dial is in the outer stable yard. National Trust property, located in outer stable yard. Cube dial - 4 faced - set on 8(?) stranded anticlockwise barley-sugar twist column in red sandstone, which has extensive erosion and spalling, and topped with a with wrought iron decorative finial. All four faces have intact gnomons, and upright bronze Roman numerals inset into the stone. The S face has 6-6, E 6-9, W 3-7, N 4-7 and 5-8, Noon is marked as XII and 4pm as IV. Noon gaps and 15-minute intervals. The column houses a fountain with long water-spouts on NW and SE sides, currently (April 2010) dry. All buildings in this area were remodelled by architect Henry Woodyer in 1888 for owner Antony Gibbs (1841 - 1907).
