BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Signed ’Saunders Dublin Fecit AD 1796’. 32-point compass rose, labelled every second point to ESE etc. Clockwise EOT table. Noon marks for 27 cities. Engraved with St Patrick and a Round Tower to the R of a globe of the world, with ’harp & crown’ Arms of Ireland to the L. Shell/foliar pattern in the escutcheons. Numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from outside, with noon gap, divided to 30, 15 and 1 minute. On a square limestone pillar on 3 steps. Photos M Harley, April 09.
