BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The original sundial was stolen one night in 2002, and the present one is a modern replacement. Numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, viewed from outside. Divided to quarters. Motto to S ’Sic Vita’. At the N of the chapter ring, hours XI to III are in a straight line, with the sector above filled with a pair of eyes and sun rays. The eyes are similar to the eyes engraved on the memorial brass to Sir John d’Abernon the Elder in the church (dated 1277, believed to be the oldest in this country). The plinth dates from 1870 - 1920, and is inscribed ’Sit Patriae Aurea Quavis 1940’ and ’Fugit Irrevocabile Tempus’, and carries Vincent arms.
