BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hereford & Worcester

The most remarkable feature of this bronze horizontal dial in the churchyard is its long and unusual motto which reads round the circumference ’Beyond a veil you cannot see through, you will not see me, so you must have faith I will be there’ ’and if I go while you’re still here know that I live on vibrating to a different measure’. It has hour lines 7am to 5pm, with half and quarter hour divisions, and Arabic numerals, only 8am to 1pm being visible. Amongst ornamentation at the south side of the dial plate is the date 1996. Knuckle duster gnomon. Baluster pedestal on 3-step square plinth. Octagonal mount stone. The whole about 1100 high.
