BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Tregoddick House, Madron

From the road can be seen a stone vertical declining dial, on the wall of the house, placed there in the year 2000. A fiery sun face has a rod gnomon protruding from its mouth and below is the motto ’Le Temps Fuit’. It shows the hours VI-VI but the dial is wrongly delineated since the line connecting the two VIs, which should be at the level of the gnomon root, is far below it.
