BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Salford Hall Hotel, Salford Priors

A painted wooden or plaster dial on the gable end with a full circle chapter ring, and irregular semi-circle decorations. Strange delineation of the morning hours. The building dates from ca 1880 (Pevsner). The dial is probably contemporary, and was refurbished in the 1980s. Ref: Country Life ’Gardens Old and New’, 16th December 1911.
