BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Surrey

Tigbourne Court was designed by Lutyens and built in 1899. The stone dial plate is mounted in a chamfered brickwork frame set into the stone wall of the house, above an arched garden door. Upright numerals V - XII - II, with hour lines to a small semicircle around the gnomon root, short half hour lines terminated with a dot, and quarter hour marks. Substantial bronze gnomon with scrollwork support. In the upper part, a bronze plate with the raised inscription ’HORAS NULLAS NISI AUREAS’.
