BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Monnow Valley Arts Centre & Gardens, Walterstone

This stone horizontal sundial is a memorial and carries one inscription on the dial plate ’The Ardizzone Sculpture and Sensory Garden’ and round the vertical sides another reading ’ In memory of Nicholas Ardizzone 1939-2004. Opened 30 May 2009’ The dial was delineated by Kevin Karney and carved by Will O’Leary of Knighton. The brass gnomon supplied by Border Sundials has the inscription ’For GMT add 12 minutes.’ The dial plate has a circle and hour lines only with just three Arabic numerals 9, 12 and 3. The Arts Centre is dedicated to Edward Ardizzone, book illustrator and artist.
