BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
8-pt compass rose labelled to NE etc. Motto in the chapter ring gap ’Sunny Hours’. Aligned numerals read from outside IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, with noon gap. Divided to half, quarter and eighth hours. Dial set into the surface of a well shaped octagonal section pillar, approx 1000 high overall.
