Sundial House, North Leverton w Habblesthorpe

Dial held to the wall above the front door with iron dognails. It may not be in its original position as the house has been extensively reshaped. It is fundamentally sound but currently badly painted and should be restored. Date at the top ’17 64’. Upright numerals VII - XII - IIII - V, the hours I to V not painted in. Long hour lines to a small semicircle around the gnomon root, with 30 and 15 minute marks. Flat iron bar gnomon with ’S’ support. The Guiness Book of Records notes North Leverton with Habblesthorpe as the longest place name in England.
