BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Merseyside

Inscribed at south ’COLE Maker, / At the ORRERY, in / Fleet Street LONDON’. 16-pt compass rose labelled to ENE etc. Anticlockwise EOT ring with post-1752 scale. Numerals IV - XII - IV - VIII, read from outside, with outer ring to 10s (Arabic), 5s and 1 minute. The dial is kept inside, not installed.
