BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Jersey

A circular dial on an octagonal plate. All lines and markings are in relief. Crude compass directions to NE etc, but no ’S’. At the S, a rising sun with two neyes and many straight rays like hair! Motto at S ’Ye Tyme Passes’. Numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, with noon gap, read from outside. Divided to 30, 15 and 7.5 minutes. Simple unpierced gnomon of copper alloy.
