BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Manchester Museum of Science and Industry, Castlefield

Don’t bother to take a step-ladder: this is a non-working replica of SRN 6877, set where it originally stood, on a sandstone plinth over the 1st Class passengers’ entry and outside the booking hall window; and it has no markings at all. And the trains don’t call here now.
