BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

Motto in chapter rinfg at south ’Tempus Fugit’. V - XII - IV - VII, read from outside. Hour lines only. Gnomon angle is 42 degrees. Dial plate is inset into the top stone, which is inscribed ’L-D SAYER 5 JUNE 1991’. The dial is said to have come from an old house in Old Windsor, Berks, about 1990.
