BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

8-point compasss at centre, with further radial line between points, labelled only E, W, S. Aligned Roman numerals, read from inside, IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, with noon gap. Hour lines, and 30, 15 and 5 minute divisions. Half-hour divisions have 3 arrow-heads pointing inwards. Dial plate recessed into top of pedestal. On the horizontal surface around is an inscription, now indecipherable. Square sectioned baluster-style pedestal developing into circular top.
