BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Painted wood dial plate with applied gold metal letters (’CASTLE VIEW’) and semi-circular chapter ring. No hour numerals, and not clear how radial lines in chapter ring are to be interpreted. Rod gnomon with shaped tip. Dial mounted high up on building (above second floor level) and canted out on left hand side.
