BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Hartpury House, Hartpury

The maker’s name is a provisional reading. Also inscribed ’Tempus edax rerum, and with a 8-pointed compass star, labelled just to N,S,E,W. Aligned Roman numerals read from inside IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, divided to 30, 15 and 7.5 mins. Gnomon missing. Fixed with 5 round-headed screws to square section baluster pedestal with four lion’s head support. Mount stone (approx 400 square) embellished to match pedestal. Approx 1200 high overall.
