BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Warwickshire

This brass horizontal dial dates from 1847 but nothing is known of its maker. It was felt to be of sufficiently good quality to deserve restoration in 2009 by John Davis, Harriet James and Mark Rawlins (who made a replica pedestal from Bath stone). The aligned numerals read from outside the chapter ring and run from IIII - VIII, the hours being divided into halves, quarters, periods of 10 and 2 minutes. The 2 minute divisions are numbered at every 20 minutes after the hour. The dial plate is 305mm in diameter.
