BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Gnomon missing. EOT shown for 1, 8, 16 and 24 day of each month. Concentric subsidiary dials for Leghorn (+16 other towns) - 1H earlier; Philadelphia (+8) - 4H 31.5M later; and Jerusalem (+8) - 2H 51M later. Central 32-point compass rose labelled to N by E etc. Perpetual Almanack from 1700 - 4000 showing Golden Numbers and Leap Years. Aligned Roman numerals read from inside IV - XII - IV - VIII with noon gap. Each hour marked with 20, 40 and 60 minute positions. Inner scale shows intervals of 30 & 15 mins. Scale extension at ends +/- 31 but originally 15 minutes. ’This was finished with care most fervent by Robert Connell, Your humble Servant’. ’Made in the year of our LORD, 1815’. The original location was probably Birdstown House, Co Donegal.
