BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Bennetts Hill, Eydon

Nice (red sandstone?) dial with moulded edges set into the stone wall of the house above the front door. Across the top ’W T 1705’. WT was William Tew, probably not the maker. Iron gnomon with support rusted away. Upright Arabic numerals 6 - 12 - 6, with flat topped ’3’ and a cross between the two digits of ’12’. Full length hour lines and no further divisions. Compare SRN 6767 at 16 High Street.
