BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
8-point compass rose labelled to eg NE. Aligned Roman numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII with noon gap. Short hour lines through numerals to zigzag border around compass rose. Inner chapter ring divided to quarters; outer to halves (arrow-head marker), quarters and 5-mins. Stone octagonal column and octagonal capital. Engraved on top around dial (very eroded) ’Non numero nisi serenas’?
