BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Star Public House, Standon

Blade gnomon with a small hook at the tip. No markings at all on the dial plate. There is a small vertical tubular fitting at the top rhs of the dial plate, probably not associated with the dial as there is another a couple of feet to the right on the gable-end brickwork.
