BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hertfordshire

Gnomon missing. Aligned Roman numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from outside, with noon gap. Hour lines through numerals, and 30 and 5 minute divs. 8-point compass at centre labelled to NE etc. Motto at N, read from N ’Amyddst ye flowres I tell ye houres’. Square sectioned tapering plinth with dedications to Conway family members on all sides.
