BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Aligned Arabic numerals 4 - 12 - 8, with noon gap, hour lines and 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 hour marks. 8-point compass at centre, labelled to NE etc. Motto at S ’Tyme fades’. Rough cut plinth with round top stone inscribed on a flattened edge ’Phyllida’.
