BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hampshire

Unusual design with centre of dial, and gnomon, set back from the chapter ring, but 6am - 6pm line correct. Body of dial in the form of the lower half of an 8-spoked chariot wheel. Roman numerals only legible around noon, with noon gap. 30, 15 and 5 minutes marked. An elegant structure, o/a height about 2200. Motto on s side of the plinth ’I work (?) only sunny hours’. Mottoes detectable on other sides in Latin.
