BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St John the Baptist’s Church, Tunstall

’Sunny Hours’. Spurious date of 1767. Knuckle duster gnomon. Sun face and 8 compass points, only labelled to NSEW. Arabic numerals read from outside 6 - 6, divided to eighth hours. Brick plinth. Plaque to M A Tingley d 1892 and M A Whales d 1883. Probably a later dial.
