BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The horizontal dial here is a modern mass-produced cast metal one. It shows the usual hours IIII-VIII with dots for the half hours and short lines for the quarters. In the centre is a sun face with its rays providing an 8-point compass labelled N, NE, E etc. At the south side of the dial plate is the spurious date 1682. The end of the gnomon is curved. It is mounted on a pedestal which has a bird bath with an island for the sundial in the centre.
