Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Near The Hall, Holmrook

The dial was last seen lying on the ground at the foot of the pillar (early 1984). It was not found on a visit of Feb 1996. It had direct N and S facing dials with Arabic numerals and four divisions to the hour; (and possibly E and W faces). R Sylvester reported in February 1996 as follows: "The Hall is approached on the right at the top of the hill on the main road going north out of the village. The entrance has a footpath signposted to Irton Church. Take the smaller entrance to the left, through the remains of an ornamental gateway. The track is much overgrown. After a short walk there is a dilapidated farm trailer on the left, marked ’David Brown’. Immediately to the left (west) of it, almost hidden by undergrowth, is an ornate column dating from 1728. The decoration on the plinth is : A crest and a date (N); a man with a gun (E); a coat of arms (S), and a man with a halberd (W). The fancy top is now lying on the ground and the dial cube, photographed recently, cannot be seen despite a short search of the undergrowth. "
