BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

At the head of the dial the initial ’L / R : M’ and the date ’1691’. Upright Arabic numerals 5 - 12 - 2 with hour lines to rectangle surrounding initials and date and short half- and quarter-hour lines.
