BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Kent

The dial is in the gable over the front door, currently (July 2006) obscured by wisteria. It has Arabic numerals (generally upright) for 6am to 6pm with ’12’ for noon, with no subdivisions. There is a row of four mediaeval figures along the top, with two bishops under arches in the centre. The lower half contains the gnomon set in a blank shield with armorial decoration surrounding, and a lion rampant on each side. This is a common dial - at least 12 examples are registered.
