BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Swan at Streatley, Streatley

A bronze horizontal dial by Haddonstone, 300mm in diameter shows the hours IV t0 VIII with half and quarter hour divisions. It has a split noon line and there is a green man face at the centre of the dial with a compass rose to the S of the gnomon. The motto reads ’Make time save time while time lasts: all time is no time when time is past.’
